Final shoot in 2011

leave a comment »

I was assisting my friend in bits of directing his pre-wedding shoot and at the same time, I took some shots for out of fun. The lovely couple hailed from Indonesia, came to Singapore, their oversea pre-wedding shoot destination choice, engaged my friend as their pre-wedding photographer as the groom knows him as friends for years. Absolutely had a great time and shoot with them.

Year 2011 is coming to the end soon. I feel very appreciated and encouraged when I receive many positive comments and thoughts in regards to my photography from the people I know and strangers especially their beliefs in me of much greater potential.  I resolute to shoot more and improve.  I would like to wish you a Happy New Year. May you have much happiness and love in 2012.

A week before Christmas

with 4 comments

Since Christmas Day is around the corner, Orchard is dolled up with colourful Christmas lighting and decorations, attracting the locals and tourists, especially photography lovers, to take the pictures of the beautiful decorations. Orchard isn’t only dolled up, it’s filled with street performers along the street that attract passerby to stop by and enjoy their performances.

If I had a star for every time you made me smile, I would be holding the night sky in my hand.

Was playing a role of second fiddle to my friend so you would not see the usual shots of the standard event procession.
As a typical Chinese wedding, it was a long hour from early morning to late night. But I was pretty much privileged to be part of the celebration and enjoyed the procession so much that I only felt tired when I was on my way back home.
The wedding reception took place at Pan Pacific Singapore. Given colourful and Contrasty lightings setup at the ballroom, it’s an absolutely pleasant shooting experience for photographers.

Wedding dinner

leave a comment »

I was at my cousin’s wedding dinner at Carlton Hotel, of course, as the guest with my family. Brought along my camera with 24mm f/2 and 85mm f/2.8, mainly for casual snaps among family and relatives. It was the first time I brought 85mm f/2.8, the size of 50mm, as I wanted to travel light with my newly bought small Manfrotto Bella V bag.

Yong Da’s sister, who was my ex classmate, requested me to help her brother to cover his wedding AD. It was a simple yet intimate affair, with mostly close families and friends.
